I also sat in shock and amazement as the events of the Benoit family tragedy played out on the computer. I watched the WWE disown and destroy the wrestling legacy that was Chris Benoit. They pulled is figures from the shelves, they took out any and all reference to him from WWE.com. You won't find any new WWE DVD release with a Chris Benoit match.
And it's a shame really. For all of his faults outside of the ring. For his heinous act in murding his family and then killing himself, Chris Benoit was still an amazing talent inside of the ring.
Now as for Triple H using the crossface. That does leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if it's because I think it's still too soon before bringing back Benoit's trademark move....or if it's because it's Triple H that's using it. It comes off like the WWE is trying to get you to forget Benoit by making his finisher property of the current WWE Champion. I think the timing is all wrong and this is going the same path as Eddie's death. Something that should just be left alone.

Well I see how it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But Regal made a good point in an interview I read earlier... He wants to get back to way he used to wrestler.. using the crossface. The crossface was around for a long time.
Either way.. I respect your opinion. Its a tough subject for us all.

I see it as a move and all wrestlers use other's moves and it's not like Benoit invented the move. It's a truly sad story and Benoit has tainted his own life.
